‘Concentrate II is the massive equivalent of the void inside another concrete work that I made in 1991, Immersion. It materialises the space of a standing body that was previously held in concrete. It is testing its own limits, so the palms of the hands that are turned outwards, the top of the head and the soles of the feet that are pressing against the mould are now all milled flat to evoke a feeling of touching the limit.’
