The video Animalier was realised in occasion of the project of the same name for the 2019 edition of Arte – Impresa – Territorio curated by Ilaria Mariotti and promoted by the Comune of Santa Croce sull’Arno in collaboration with Associazione Arte Continua, Galleria Continua and many other public and private parties. The project, financed through Toscanincontemporanea2019, sees international artists invited year after year to build relationships with the production excellence of the local area strongly characterized by the tanning industry.

As part of #ContinuaArtistsWithYou, Arcangelo Sassolino sent us this video of ‘Piccole Guerre’, a work he exhibited at Galleria Continua #SanGimignano for the exhibition ‘Canto V’ in 2016. The spectator witnesses an action that happens so rapidly, a transformation of one object into another form, that it’s not visible to the naked eye. The work relies on the suspense before the action, how a solid object can transform in a fraction of a second.
