'Broken Line of Horizon' is an exhibition featuring a large installation that establishes a dialogue with the structures of the city and their relationship with nature, in many cases abused and neglected or, as in this case, mutilated. In addition, it will be completed with other works by the artist that relate to nature and the city. The project, curated by David Barro and González & González (Daniella González Maldini, Patrick Hamilton) is co-produced by MadBlue, Fundación DIDAC and Goodman Gallery / Johanesburg-London.

The exhibition, curated by Carlo Sala, looks into the myth of Danaë through Antonio Bellucci’s (1654 - 1726) painting, “Danae” which tells the story of this heroine of Greek mythology who was imprisoned in a tower by her father Across, King of Argos. 19 contemporary painters, one of whom is Marta Spagnoli, have been selected to exhibit in this exhibition in order to visually and conceptually renew our perception of the ‘myth’.

Oratorio San Filippo Neri

Bologna, Italy

Sabrina Mezzaqui's work presented inside the Oratory of San Filippo Neri is a large site-specific Mandala positioned in the center of the nave on the floor. It will change every day: every morning the artist will modify the shape of the work, moving the individual metal elements of which it is made, transforming the rhythms of its forms, the perimeters and its center, to reflect in silence on the impossibility of having certainties, now more than ever, given that we are all experiencing the great precariousness of these times.
