MARTA SPAGNOLI 'Discendente' 2021
Curated by Carlo Sala
Fondazione Francesco Fabbri
Pieve di Soligo (TV), Italy
The exhibition, curated by Carlo Sala, looks into the myth of Danaë through Antonio Bellucci’s (1654 - 1726) painting, “Danae” which tells the story of this heroine of Greek mythology who was imprisoned in a tower by her father Across, King of Argos. 19 contemporary painters, one of whom is Marta Spagnoli, have been selected to exhibit in this exhibition in order to visually and conceptually renew our perception of the ‘myth’.
