BERLINDE DE BRUYCKERE 'Lift Not the Painted Veil'

We are delighted to announce that 'Lift Not the Painted Veil' opens on 29 June, the first solo exhibition in Hamburg by Berlinde De Bruyckere at Ernst Barlach Haus.

The exhibition brings together both new and historical works spanning over thirty years of her practice. It includes the debut of a sculpture inspired by the polychrome wooden figures of Ernst Barlach. De Bruyckere weaves her imagery into a rich dialogue between mythology, Christian iconography, and the pressing questions of our time.
