'Claude Monet in Le Havre'

Opening 5 June at Le Havre,  the city where Impressionism was born — Monet au Havre traces the artist's formative years while opening onto the present through a monumental intervention by Ai Weiwei, whose Water Lilies frames the exhibition at its entrance and conclusion. Conceived for the centenary of Monet's death, the show becomes more than a retrospective: a reflection on legacy, translation and artistic freedom across generations, East and West.
