DANIEL BUREN 'Point de vue ascendant, travail in situ '

Daniel Buren installs a new work in the garden of the Banque de France in Dijon, taking inspiration from the roof of the Hôtel de la Thoison. The roof’s pattern is not dissimilar Daniel Buren’s artistic vocabulary of alternating stripes 8.7cm wide. The dialogue between the work and the building is therefore completed, starting from a unique point of view, the ‘in situ’ work creates a passage from horizontal to vertical via an inclined plane, while respecting the building’s characteristics.
