EVA JOSPIN 'Contre-Monde'

The artist Eva Jospin takes over the rooms of the Rendez-vous program, initiated by the Collection Lambert in Avignon since 2019.

The presence of the artist is part of the Carte blanche Ruinart, a project that the Avignon institution is hosting for the fourth year. She succeeds Vik Muniz, David Shrigley and Jeppe Hein.

While at the same time, the artist's monumental works will occupy the prestigious rooms of the Palais des Papes and will dialogue with the history of this emblematic place of the city, a series of works resulting from the artist's collaboration with Ruinart will occupy the halls of the Avignon contemporary art center.

The space of the Collection Lambert, whose architecture recalls the scene at the end of 2001's Space Odyssey, will function as a contemporary mirror to the Gothic setting of the Palais des Papes. The marvelous landscapes sculpted by the artist directly from the cardboard will imbue the white and bright rooms with their sensitive power, like so many rooms of memories of our past, present and future lives.
