JORGE MACCHI 'Retour'

Twenty years after Buenos Aires Tour (2004), Jorge Macchi returns to his city as a territory of search, memory and chance,  collecting, over the past five years, handwritten notes discarded in the streets around his studio in Villa Crespo: addresses, shopping lists, sketches of letters, instructions, diary fragments. In RETOUR, these private traces become the core of an installation that transforms them into objects, sound works, sculptures, maps and graphological analyses, texts that were never meant to be read, now made public.
