LEILA ALAOUI 'Made in India'

As part of the Mai de la Photo, the Institut français du Maroc pays tribute to Leila Alaoui with a selection from her 'Made in India' series.

Shot in 2014, when Leila Alaoui traveled to Chennai in southern India, the project was developed inside a textile factory. Instead of focusing on production, she chose to focus on the women themselves - the faces, bodies, and hands behind the familiar Made in India label found on clothes around the world.
