On June 26, the Reggia di Caserta will inaugurate 'Terzo Paradiso', a permanent installation by Michelangelo Pistoletto in the Royal Park, made from historic stone and natural wood recovered from the Bosco Vecchio. The work stands as a symbol of harmony between nature, ethics, and art—like a tattoo on the skin of the planet, it becomes a living legacy for a future shaped by conscious transformation.
During the inauguration, which will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the presence of the artist, the catalogue of the exhibition 'Metawork — Michelangelo Pistoletto alla Reggia di Caserta' (published by Sillabe) will also be presented. The exhibition is on view in the Gran Galleria and open until September 1.
Participation in the initiative is included in the ticket/subscription to the Museum upon reservation at re-ce.rsvp@cultura.gov.it by 12:00 on June 25. For press accreditation, write to re-ce.comunicazione@cultura.gov.it by 12:00 on June 25.
Also on view is 'Mirror of Eternity', an interactive artwork by Pistoletto that invites viewers to enter a new virtual dimension of existence. By uploading a personal portrait, visitors can pair it with that of another person to generate a new face—one that has never existed before. This process, echoing the generative logic of nature, allows our features to persist indefinitely within a virtual sky created by artificial intelligence. 'Mirror of Eternity' explores the idea of digital immortality, where humanity survives through continuous rebirth in the virtual realm.
The event is produced by the Museo Reggia di Caserta and Opera Laboratori, in collaboration with Cittadellarte — Fondazione Pistoletto and Galleria Continua.
