WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER: 100% TO HELP

In thirty years of activity, Galleria Continua and Associazione Arte Continua, both in the international art world and in the local communities where they found themselves operating, have established real relationships and friendships that, now more than ever, in this moment of international emergency, could not be more needed.

In January, when the coronavirus epidemic brought the entire province of Hubei to its knees, we felt a strong need to testify our closeness to the Chinese people; for this reason we have decided to support the '2020 Standing together Charity Auction' initiative of HOW Art Museum and HOW Store together with Yitiao, Modern Media, Art021 and more than 80 important institutions and art galleries in China and abroad. All proceeds went to the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, with the aim of purchasing supplies for the prevention of the epidemic for primary school students from the 80 schools located in the affected area. Our participation was possible thanks to the generosity of some of our artists: Antony Gormley, Carsten Höller, Giovanni Ozzola, Ahmed Mater and Moataz Nasr who donated their works and thanks to the artists who in recent years have joined the Arte x Vino = Acqua project: Lothar Baumgarten, Richard Hamilton, Roni Horn, Cildo Meireles, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Gilberto Zorio, Adel Abdessemed, Antony Gormley, Carsten Höller, Jannis Kounellis, HHLim, Yan Pei Ming and Kiki Smith.

When the virus hit Italy, it was Chinese friends and colleagues who held out their hand. We thank Mr Yang Bin, Qing Dao Museum, Ms Wu Xiaoning, Art 021, HOW Museum, Zhou Yin, Nie Mei, Fosun Art Center, Mr Hao You, Luna Peng and all those who have activated themselves into a chain of solidarity that allowed the donation of over 50,000 masks, 6 respirators, suits and goggles to the Municipality of Milan, to Tuscany and to Civil Protection. As stated in the thank you letter from the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala, the medical material received in Lombardy was delivered to Humanitas Research Hospital, an excellent structure at the forefront in the care of Covid-19 patients and in emergency healthy management related to the spread of Coronavirus.
