ANTONY GORMLEY. FAI SPAZIO, PRENDI POSTO. MAKING SPACE, TAKING PLACE, 2006

Gormley conceived a project for Arte all'Arte - IX edition in 2005 trying to involve the local public from Poggibonsi. During the Festa dell'Unità, he asked Achille Bonito Oliva to extract seven, out of eighty-four numbers: Diletta Benesperi (17, schoolgirl), Andrea Cecchi (45, winemaker), Silvio Ciappi (39, criminologist), Filippo Fontanelli (14, schoolboy), Elisa Nidiaci (26, artisan), Nicola Pucci (43, dentist), Alberto Rambaldi (54, agronomist).

What do these common people have in common? A life-size duplicate in spheroidal graphite iron, seven in total.
