Pascale Marthine Tayou / Love Letter, 2024

Pascale Marthine Tayou creates art without borders or rules, reflecting his view of the world. Born in Cameroon in 1966, his work blends cultural roots with experiences from his travels. In the early ’90s, he adopted the feminine names Pascale and Marthine, embracing identity as fluid and ever-changing. Concerned with environmental issues, he repurposes everyday materials to explore the relationship between humanity and nature. His art, combining craftsmanship and consumer society remnants, prompts reflection on coexistence. This monograph, published for his exhibition at OCA, is curated by Marco Bazzini and Emanuele Montibeller in collaboration with Galleria Continua.
