JORGE MACCHI 'Waking hours'

2018, sound installation in collaboration with Edgardo Rudnitzky

The sound installation starts to spin in the spectator’s presence.

Each one of the 7 vinyl records follows each other and plays a specific instrument, creating a septet simphony.

The work is realised by Jorge Macchi in collaboration with Edgardo Rudnitzky.

Our presence and our passage create a symphony only apparently chaotic, of seven musical instruments (cello, flute, English horn, violin, bass clarinet, clarinet, viola). The work exists only based on our existence and on our research towards the turntables, which are equipped with a movement sensor.
