unique work
In this work Chen Zhen has created a sort of glass coffin where different kinds of every day life objects - the witness / victim of our consumer society – are taken out of context, placed together and mixed with earth.
This gesture becomes a rite of transition, which purifies and gives them a new life after their use. It is a true sublimation, a release of latent spirits after the death of consumable products.
