The NGV TRIENNIAL welcomes the project 'Homily to Country' 2020 by JR, that directs international focus onto the ecological deterioration of the Darling River system, as well as “Last words of John Brown (red version)" 2018 by Nari Ward, a work from the artist’s series of textual installations made of shoe laces that studies how art and activism cross over.

The Ukrainian artist, Zhanna Kadyrova, known for her work in reusing ceramic tiles, presents photographs and installation in this group exhibition which examines the subject of industrial housing in the pre-1990 era, promoting an exchange between artists from different countries and seeing what discourse emerges from artists who have experience in, what is now today, Western Europe and the former Eastern Bloc.
