On this occasion Galleria Continua is pleased to present “Field of Synergy” by Chen Zhen for its 8th edition of XXL Online.

Continua XXL Online is an exclusive presentation of some of our artists’ biggest projects. Featuring previously unseen content from Galleria Continua and artists as well as in depth information and insight into production, Continua XXL Online becomes a comprehensive experience in understanding large installations and artworks.

“Field of Synergy” came to Galleria Continua / San Gimignano in 2000 as part of Chen Zhen’s homonymous solo show. It's a work that offers a beautiful landscape on which to examine and understand the cruxes of his philosophy, outlook and artistic practices. This viewing room presents not only Chen Zhen’s first impressions upon seeing the gallery but also his perceptions of the space, his philosophical approach to managing the space and the realization of a work that is an insight not only into Chen Zhen’s personal story but also a tool with which we can understand what the artist called Transexperience, a new discourse that takes into account the spiritual, human, technological, material and immaterial worlds.
