Una boccata d’arte is a contemporary, extensive, and unifying art project, created by the Fondazione Elpis in collaboration with Galleria Continua. With the intention of becoming a source of optimism and starting a push towards cultural, touristic and economic recovery, it aims to create an opportunity for encounters between contemporary art and the historical and artistic beauty of twenty villages in Italy. In the current context of new beginnings and the resumption of cultural activity, with Una boccata d’arte, the Fondazione Elpis wishes to make a significant contribution in supporting contemporary art and Italian heritage.

In September, the chosen villages will host twenty site-specific contemporary art interventions, the majority of which will be placed outdoors, by both emerging and established Italian artists invited by the Fondazione Elpis and Galleria Continua. Twenty artists for twenty villages, in all twenty regions of Italy. 

For the first edition of Una boccata d’arte the inauguration will take place on the weekend of 12 and 13 September at the same time in all the selected locations. The works will be on show for a month and they provide an opportunity to take part in safe outdoor encounters for art loves, collectors and sector professionals, encouraging local tourism and inspiring curiosity in those who love to discover their local area.
