AN EXHIBITION SPACE INSIDE THE BURJ AL ARAB JUMEIRAH

In November 2021 Galleria Continua inaugurated a space inside the most iconic hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in Dubai.
Situated off the shore of Dubai’s largest private beach and recognised the world over for its sailboatinspired shape, it is an icon of the modern city.
One of the most significant figures on the international art scene, Anish Kapoor, with whom Galleria Continua has worked for over 25 years, inaugurates the exhibition space.
The interest for the Arab world and for its culture came about in 2008 with the participation in the first edition of ArtDubai; a fair in which the gallery participated throughout the following years and which, from 2012, accompanied its participation in the Abu Dhabi fair. “The network of relationships and friendships built over this period of time are the humus that gave shape, meaning and substance to this new project. We see the opening of a temporary location in Dubai not only as an opportunity to consolidate and deepen the bond with the United Arab Emirates, but also as a way to contribute, with our energies and above all with the universal language of art, to the construction of dialogues and cultural exchanges between people.
