On the occasion of the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, Leandro Erlich presents Hybrids. Leandro Erlich al Negozio Olivetti, curated by Marcello Dantas, as a collateral event of Biennale Arte 2026.
Conceived for the historic Negozio Olivetti in Piazza San Marco, the exhibition unfolds as a dialogue between Erlich’s sculptural practice and a space where design, culture, and vision have long converged. On view from May 9 to November 22, 2026, the project brings together approximately twenty works, including several previously unseen sculptures.
Through hybrid organisms where vegetal, mineral, architectural, and anthropomorphic forms intersect, Erlich constructs a visual language that challenges stable categories of perception. Operating between the familiar and the uncanny, these works suggest that artistic form is not merely representational, but generative: a force capable of reshaping how reality is imagined and inhabited.
In this context, Hybrids emerges as both an exploration of metamorphosis and a reflection on the porous boundaries between nature and artifice, inviting viewers to reconsider their relationship to space, matter, and perception.
