This talk with a varied and interesting panel will propose and explore a new approach to art that needs to rethink its role while reducing its environmental impact and CO2 emissions - as a response to the current environment and climate crisis. It will look at the case history "Diplomazija Astuta" by Arcangelo Sassolino one of the first works of art in the world to receive a carbon neutral certification.

As part of #ContinuaArtistsWithYou, Arcangelo Sassolino sent us this video of ‘Piccole Guerre’, a work he exhibited at Galleria Continua #SanGimignano for the exhibition ‘Canto V’ in 2016. The spectator witnesses an action that happens so rapidly, a transformation of one object into another form, that it’s not visible to the naked eye. The work relies on the suspense before the action, how a solid object can transform in a fraction of a second.
