'Broken Line of Horizon' is an exhibition featuring a large installation that establishes a dialogue with the structures of the city and their relationship with nature, in many cases abused and neglected or, as in this case, mutilated. In addition, it will be completed with other works by the artist that relate to nature and the city. The project, curated by David Barro and González & González (Daniella González Maldini, Patrick Hamilton) is co-produced by MadBlue, Fundación DIDAC and Goodman Gallery / Johanesburg-London.

This year’s edition of Carlos Garaicoa’s “Open Studio” in Madrid is a collaborative exhibition dialogue between Carlos Garaicoa and Alejandro Campins, a peek into the power of drawings; what they can represent to us morally, how they can help us in understanding and disentangling what stops us from realizing our destiny, to change the edict of the world we live in.

El Espacio 23
2270 NW 23 Street, Miami, USA
El Espacio 23 is located in a former 28,000 square foot warehouse in the Allapattah neighborhood. Opened by Jorge M. Perez, it will not only provide space for contemporary artists to exhibit but also for the development of current working artists with three apartments designed as residencies for artists and curators. The inaugural exhibition, ‘Time for Change: Art and Social Unrest in the Jorge M. Pérez Collection’, focuses on the notion of art and the artist as an agent for social change that can explore the conflicts and contradictions of contemporary society. An interest in the marginalized aspects of society and history ties together the nearly 100 works by over 80 artists including Michelangelo Pistoletto, Jonathas De Andrade, Carlos Garaicoa and Ai Weiwei.
