The fragment, a lacunose image, is a primary source, a suspension from belonging to a unitary form. This acts as a starting point to actively reconstruct a texture without hierarchies of signs, figures or spots. While working, the hypotheses formulated are in continuous process of narration thanks to the pictorial practice that allows the artist not to necessarily know how the image will result. The animal, the human and the infinite natural forms are among the interests that guide Marta Spagnoli between the choice of images with the value of testimonies, settled in the depths of life and in the memory of Man.The interrupted history, that is those fragmentary images where an impression and a memory is condensed, must be reconsidered, opened and rewritten in the form as still unexpressed potentialities of ever contemporary archeologies.
